MFA Thesis Panel

Please sign up for 2-3 slots below. We will meet in FA 344A.

I will send you a PDF of their proposal(s) the Thursday prior to the meeting.

Approximate Hour Format:
•10 min: MFA student gives a short introduction and presentation.
•30 min: Faculty praise, critique, and ask questions about the proposal.
•10 min: Faculty privately assess green, yellow, or red light.
•5 min: Private Meeting with Candidate
•5 min: Break

"Light" Assessment:
•GREEN = a vote of confidence. The student has successfully completed their work, and we feel they are ready to move forward with their thesis project. We also offer feedback for revisions.
•YELLOW = a list of specific revisions is mandated. In some cases, the student will complete the work by the end of the current semester and complete the course. In other cases, the student will take an incomplete in the course and finish the work by an established deadline.
•RED = a vote of no-confidence. This decision generally indicates the student must retake CINE 770 the following spring.
