SYNOPSIS
42nd Street is a musical about the backstage lives of Broadway, Times Square, and show business, set in 1933 New York City. The musical follows the story of Peggy Sawyer, a young girl from Allentown, Pennsylvania who becomes the star of a Broadway show after winning a spot in the chorus line. When the show's leading lady breaks her ankle, Peggy must prove her talent to replace her. The score is chock-full of Broadway standards, including "You're Getting To Be A Habit With Me," "Dames," "We're In the Money," "Lullaby of Broadway," "Shuffle Off to Buffalo" and "Forty-Second Street."
