Rollins’ service standards have helped define what is important as we engage in our work and with each other to inspire purposeful lives through distinctive, engaged learning and the exceptional service for our students and customers. Included among these core standards is competence. As an institution of higher learning, we all strive to be effective, efficient and reliable in meeting student and customer needs. This workshop is intended to help participants see their workplace from the customers point of view and help staff members identify and make organizational processes more customer-friendly.

In this session participants will learn:

• About the “Everything Speaks Checklist”
• How to develop and use such a checklist of their own workplace

Participants will leave the workshop with the first draft of a checklist for their own workplace.

This workshop is limited to 40 participants and registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Register early as the workshop is expected to fill quickly. Additional offerings of this workshop will be scheduled if needed in accordance with demand.

The Rollins Service Excellence STARSS Program is an ongoing series of workshops, discussion forums, speakers, and events intended to foster dialogue, interaction, professional development and community building around Rollins’ four service standards:

• Responsive
• Respectful
• Collaborative
• Competent

Four forums will be held during the academic year, one on each of our four service standards. For more information, please visit the Service Excellence web page at http://r-net.rollins.edu/service/index.html.

Please come and take part in this interactive workshop. We look forward to seeing you there!
