FALL 2024 UTUO Audition APPLICATION/REGISTRATION
Welcome to UTUO Auditions! You are on Step 1 of your audition process.

Thank you for your interest in participating on UT University Orchestra.
We hope you can join us and make wonderful music together!

Please read the following set of instructions before applying and registering (STEP 1).

INSTRUCTIONS:

Dates of auditions:
Saturday August 24, cellos, violas, and woodwinds
Sunday August 25, violins, basses, and brass

ATTENTION BRASS & WOODWINDS CORRECT AUDITION DATE IS TUESDAY 8/22 6-10PM.

All performers are required to play a brief solo excerpt (the exposition of the first movement of a concerto or comparable excerpt; approximately 2 to 2.30 minutes in length) in addition to the required excerpts.

Performers should prepare ALL the excerpts. Not all the excerpts might be asked for the audition.The selected ones will be announced during the audition by the Jury.

The audition is a very fast process. The Jury will only listend about 10 minutes or less of performance. Be ready to be interrupted any time.

Please show up 10 minutes before your audition time, already with instrument ready to play and in tune, with your music.

Before showing up to your audition make sure you fill this Form correctly. Please fill out all fields and ensure your information is accurate. You will not be able to edit your submissions after sending.

Information submitted on this form can only be viewed by University Orchestras Faculty and Teaching Assistants, and will not be shared with any other parties.

The Location of our Auditions will be: Butler School of Music, MRH 2.118 Orchestra Room.

After filling in your application, make sure you sign up for the Spring 2023 UTUO Audition Time Slot Sheet at https://www.wejoinin.com/sheets/mhhcw This is very important, it ensures you a spot on the day of audition (STEP 2).

All audition and other information for UO is available through the Butler School Orchestras Website, including the excerpts required for the audition. Make sure you download them with enough time (STEP 3).
