Mock auditions

The event is to help prepare actors, young and old, for our upcoming auditions for The Wizard Of Oz, performing at the end of July, or any audition in the future. Held at Bicentennial Park, Joliet IL.
Free event, anyone can attend. Workshop style with a mock audition at the end. Dance, song, and audition technique workshops will be held to prepare you for your audition.
All ages are allowed, if you are under the age of 15 please have an adult present with you. Auditions for The Wizard Of Oz will be held on April 5th and 6th with callbacks on the 7th. Video Auditions are accepted (email

Dance Workshop- Learn a dance at a pace you would at an audition.
Song Workshop- Practice your songs, ask for advice, and hear some other fun show tunes.
Audition Technique Workshop- This will prepare you to slate for in-person and self-taped auditions. Cold reading practice and scene work practice will be available in this workshop.
Mock Audition- Each person (if comfortable) will have a chance to “audition” for everyone and have the chance to get constructive criticism and ask questions about how to make their auditions better.
The most important thing is to have fun and learn something new!
