Got your turkey in the oven and looking for something fun to do? Help us to support students and build community during the Thanksgiving Break!

Details of the volunteer role are listed below and will also be emailed to you! A volunteer "lead" for each event will be assigned to support the volunteer team.

Wednesday, November 25
12-2pm
Cornell Campus Center Patio (facing Kathleen W. Rollins Hall)
GRATEFUL GARLAND MAKING
What are you grateful for? Be sure to stop by and complete a “grateful hand” to add to our Thanksgiving grateful garland.
Volunteer Responsibility: Arrive at 11:45am; sit at an outdoor table and invite students to make a "grateful hand" with provided crafting supplies. Get your craft on.

Wednesday, November 25
4-8pm
Mills Lawn
CORN MAZE FALL FEST
We might not have the corn fields of the mid-west but come out to Mills Lawn and make your way through this Florida-style, inflatable corn maze! Be sure to bring your phone or a flashlight after the sun goes down! Free kettle corn and gourmet candy apples will add to this fall festival feel!
Volunteer Responsibility: Arrive at 3:30pm; Monitor inflatable corn maze (run by vendor) to ensure social distancing. Pass out individually wrapped snacks. Smile and invite students to go through the maze. For extra volunteer credit, drink a Pumpkin Spice Latte.

Thursday, November 26
8am-9am
Tars Plaza
TURKEY TROT FUN RUN
Walk, ride, or run in this fun run around campus! This will not be an official/timed event. An map of the route will be provided.
Volunteer Responsibility: Arrive at 7:30am; pass out maps and water bottles before run. Ask participants to sign waiver. Pass out medals after run.

Thursday, November 26
9am-noon
Dave's Boathouse
MACY'S THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE WATCH PARTY
Volunteer Responsibility: Arrive at 8:45am; Make sure the TV is tuned into the parade on NBC (instructions provided). Watch the parade and talk to students. Rate the Santa at the end of the parade- do you think it was the real one? Literally, that's all.

Friday, November 27
10am-1pm, Dock behind Alfond Pool
ROLLINS EDITION: WINTER PARK BOAT TOUR
All aboard for a free private ride on the Winter Park Boat Tour! Boats will be limited to 9 students for social distancing purposes. Boats will depart every 30 minutes.
Volunteer Responsibility: Arrive at 9:30am. Check students in for their tour and check boats for social distancing. Study up on sea terms like "ahoy!" to be the best volunteer you can be.

Saturday, November 28
8pm-10pm
Sandspur Field
MOVIE UNDER THE STARS
Join us for a movie under the stars! Grab your favorite blanket and settle in for a holiday movie on the Sandspur Field. Seating will be adhere to social distancing in the stands.
Volunteer Responsibility: Arrive at 7:30pm; Vendor will be responsible for actual movie and set up. You will lay out blankets (provided) 6 feet apart, greet students and invite them to sit on the blankets. Enjoy the cinematic adventure!
