Orientation Programming and the Needs of International Students

Abstract: Join the Commission for Global Dimension of Student Development and the Commission for Admissions, Orientation and the First Year Experience in a Dial-A-Dialogue that will address the transitional needs of international students. A panel of professionals who work closely with international students will lead a discussion and take questions from participants that will address trends affecting international students, how to communicate with students prior to their arrival to campus, and how to improve the international student transition and orientation experience. Participants should leave the dialogue with the ability to formulate next steps to promoting a comfortable transition for international students.
