UCF Contemporary A Cappella - Fall Rush 2017

Thanks for your interest in joining Contemporary A Cappella @ UCF!
Our Fall Rush will kick off with the Aca 101 Social event on August 27th at 7 o'clock. Keep in mind this is not mandatory but will be helpful as it will familiarize you with the UCF A Cappella scene and tips on how to approach a cappella auditions!

*UPDATES*

- ALL Auditions (now INCLUDING Saturday) will be located in BA1 Room 206! That is Business Administration Building 1, room 206.

- Saturday is now Guys AND Girls auditions!

- Audition days have now started to fill up! Sign-up as a walk in at the bottom and come in anytime during that day. You may have to wait for an empty slot but we will make sure you get to audition!

- If you can't make the day for your gender, feel free to sign up on a different day. We record the auditions and will make sure every group receives it!

If slots fill up and you find yourself unable to make the times left, please sign up under the slot labeled "walk-ins" on the day that you plan to audition. Show up anytime during that day, and we'll make sure you get the chance to audition. However, you may have to wait until after everyone who was previously signed up has already gone. Remember, walk-ins are still gender specific (guys should come Monday & Saturday, while ladies should come Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday). Should there be a crazy volume of auditions, we will add another day!

AUDITION PROCESS

Auditions will be 10 minutes long, and will consist of the following:
Range Check
Sight-Reading (Optional)
Call & Response Pitch Accuracy Exercise
Vocal Percussion (Optional) - Call & Response or Freestyle

Prepared Piece - Verse and chorus of Contemporary/ Pop song, or whatever shows off your range and style. (Please have lyrics memorized, and keep it under one minute if possible!)
