As soon as we get our audition rooms well will post them here. Please bear with us as room reservations can be sent last minute from SGA.

Audition Rooms:

Saturday: NSC 112
Monday: NSC 115
Tuesday: NSC 103
Wednesday: NSC 111
Thursday: NSC 113

If slots fill up and you find yourself unable to make the times left, please sign up under the slot labeled "walk-ins" on the day that you plan to audition. Show up anytime during that day, and we'll make sure you get the chance to audition. However, you may have to wait until after everyone who was previously signed up has already gone. Should there be a crazy volume of auditions, we will add another day, or feel free to sign up to submit a virtual audition!

As we secure rooms for auditions we will post them to the CASA facebook page AND update this bio. If you have any questions feel free to message us directly at the page.

AUDITION PROCESS (keep in mind that audition days are Gender-Specific expect for Saturday 9/7/19!)

Auditions will be 10 minutes long, and will consist of the following:

Range Check
Sight-Reading (Optional)
Call & Response Pitch Accuracy Exercise
Vocal Percussion (Optional) - Call & Response or Freestyle

Prepared Piece - Verse and chorus of Contemporary/ Pop song, or whatever shows off your range and style. keep it under one minute if possible!)

VIRTUAL AUDITIONS
*Note: If you have already signed up to do an in-person audition, and would like to submit a virtual audition, please cancel your current reservation time and sign up separately for a Virtual time slot. The specific time does not matter.*

Whenever you sign up for virtual auditions you will receive an email from us (within 24 hours) with an link to a google form for you to fill out. This is where you will supply us with your information and upload your audition!!

For the audition please prepare:
A verse and chorus of Contemporary/Pop song, whatever shows off your range and style. Please do it a cappella (no karaoke tracks, instruments, or any post production!). Also please do it memorized if possible!

Range Test (optional) -
Sing along to the following audio tracks. Try not to restart for every note, just gradually sing from one note into the next.
For the descending portion, sing on an "eee" vowel (as in the word "tee" - not the full word, just the vowel sound). For the ascending portion, sing on an "ahh" vowel.

Beatboxing/Vocal Percussion -
If you have experience beatboxing or doing any vocal percussion (or just want to try!), now is the time to show that off! Thirty to forty-five seconds of what you can do, whether it's simple or complex, we want to hear what you've got!

Virtual auditions will close September 12th at 10pm. Any auditions submitted after that will not be accepted. If you have any questions contact us at contempacappella@gmail.com
