FAQs
Q. What type of shoes should I wear?
A. The bikes have 2-sided pedals. One side is a platform pedal with toe cages and straps that are compatible with normal shoes or sneakers, and the other side is similar to a clipless pedal compatible with bike shoes outfitted with Shimano SPD cleats.

Q. What do I need to bring to the class?
A. We will provide gym towels and water, but please consider the environment and bring your own water bottle if possible. Please also remember to bring clothing and other items you may need to stay comfortable given the weather when you will be in the class (please see next FAQ).

Q. What if it rains or the weather turns really cold. Will we hold the class indoors?
A. All classes will take place outside on the patio adjacent to the 1851 all-hands space, and will be cancelled if inclement weather is predicted. Please be mindful to wear sunscreen, bring sunglasses and a hat if preferred on sunny days.

Participant Notice and Waiver: When signing up to participate in this class, each participant acknowledges that their decision to participate is entirely voluntary and, while the activity is sponsored by Exelixis, it is separate and apart from their employment or other service relationship with Exelixis. Each participant understands and agrees that spin classes are inherently dangerous activities that may result in personal injury, and fully assumes that risk. Each participant agrees that Exelixis has no responsibility for their safety while participating in this activity and accepts that any injury arising from participation will NOT be covered under Exelixis’ worker’s compensation insurance. Finally, by signing up to participate, participant waives, releases, and agrees to hold Exelixis and its affiliated persons harmless from any and all damages, injuries, losses, claims or other obligations.
