Judging the Thomas Tang Moot Court Competition - Friday, November 6, 2015

Dear members of the Bench & Bar, please volunteer to serve as oral argument judges for the 22nd Annual Thomas Tang International Moot Court Competition, administered by the NAPABA Law Foundation, and held in conjunction with the Annual NAPABA Convention, November 6-7, 2015, in New Orleans, LA.

Two preliminary rounds will be held, Friday, November 6th from, 9:15 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and a Quarterfinal round from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the the Hilton New Orleans-Riverside (2 Poydras St, New Orleans, LA 70130). Parking will be validated for those volunteering from the New Orleans area not registered to attend the NAPABA Convention.

You may sign up to serve as judges for one or both of the preliminary rounds and/or the quarterfinal round.

Three judges are needed for each rooms (A-H) for both preliminary rounds (9:15-10:15 & 10:30-11:30).

Additionally, we need four judges for rooms A-D for the quarterfinal round from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

We also need six volunteers to serve as alternates for each preliminary round and the quarterfinal round, in case of last minute cancellations.

You will receive a oral argument judging packet via e-mail with the problem, bench brief, rules and oral argument scoring sheets. Please note that the packet will be sent once you sign up.

You will receive an e-mail to reconfirm your availability, as well as your room assignments within the Hilton and other information regarding logistics, by Monday, November 2, 2015.

If you need to cancel or modify your commitment prior to Monday, November 2, 2015, please do so via wejoinin.com link you used to sign up to serve as a volunteer judge.
