4th Period Social Skills Group Activities - Volunteers Needed!

Hello Students,

We are looking for volunteers to help out in some social skills group activities during the 4th period lunch block. Please sign up only if you have a free period during 4th. All activities will take place in Room S129. If these activities are during your lunch please bring or buy a lunch and bring it to S129- Lunch will NOT be provided. You will serve as positive role models in these social skills group activities! Please feel free to sign up for as many activities as you would like. You will earn one hour of community service for each day you volunteer!

Friday, March 7th (Game Day):
We will play a "Moods" style game where participants read aloud a phrase using a specific emotion. The objective is to get players to guess the mood displayed based on their tone, facial expressions, and gestures. Often, the message won't match the mood, resulting in lots of silly phrases and laughs for the group!

Monday, March 10th (St. Patrick's Day Activity):
The social skills group is working on some cards and treats for the H.S. teachers. For this activity, we will make cards with watercolor and markers. They will be a shamrock with the phrase, "Lucky to have you as a teacher!" The students can add their own creativity while painting the clover portion of the cards. All supplies will be provided!

Friday, March 14th (St. Patrick's Day Activity):
We will decorate cards and fill cauldrons with treats for the H.S. teachers. All supplies will be provided!
