*"Backup" volunteers will be contacted if a volunteer can no longer make their shift. Please DO NOT "give" your shift to a friend, as we want to make it fair and allow the next person on the list to attend.
Cancellations: If you sign-up for a session and need to cancel, please notify the Volunteer Coordinator Theo Lartey (theo555@uw.edu). If canceling within 12 hours of outreach, please contact outreach manager!
How to prepare: Mask is required. Wear closed toed shoes and casual, comfortable clothing that is appropriate to bend over, kneel, and crouch in. Please refrain from wearing flashy items like expensive jewelry. Bring your UDSM or UW name badge if you have one!

UDSM Street Outreach

Street Outreach is an effort to bridge the gaps in healthcare access by meeting homeless individuals where they reside, on the streets of the U-district. Volunteers perform activities such as health assessment, motivational interviewing, vital sign acquisition, resource referral, chemical dependency counseling, and passing out essential living items with the goal of helping those in need and establishing a connection with local-area homeless individuals.

- Location: Meet at back garage at Chapel on the Ave @ 4130 University Way Northeast, Seattle, WA 98105. Service location covers specific street zones and community sites within the University District, Seattle, including the University Way and ROOTS Young Adult Shelter.
- Time: every other Friday 5:30p - 7:30p
