YTC: Matilda, Jr. Auditions!

Matilda the Musical, Jr.
For students ages 8-12

After the success of last year’s Willy Wonka production, YTC decided to stay in the Dahl-world with this empowering, fantastical, and “revolting” story of a magical young girl. Matilda the Musical, Jr., directed by Anthony Whitson-Martini, will begin auditions and rehearsals on Wednesday, February 5th.

Students must register before auditioning. All students who register will be cast in the show.

Audition Dates (Students should sign up for 1 audition slot, attend 1 Audition Date & the Dance Call/Callback Day):
Wednesday, February 5th from 5:30-8:30pm
Friday, February 7th from 5:30-8:30pm

Dance Call/Callbacks:
Saturday, February 8th from 1:00-5:00pm

Please prepare the selected excerpts from one of the songs linked below. Actors may also be asked to read from the script.

The Dance Call and Callbacks will take place on Saturday, February 7th from 1:00-5:00pm. Students should arrive dressed to move.
Some students may be asked to read more callback material than others, but all students who audition will be cast in the show.

NOTE: All actors should register for the production prior to their audition date. Registration can be completed at beverlyartscenter.com, via the School of Fine Arts Catalog on the BAC's website, at the Front Desk in person or over the phone at 773.445.3838. Tuition is $400 per student and includes two tickets to a performance of their choosing.

Rehearsals (beginning Friday, February 14th):
Tuesdays & Fridays from 5:30-7:30pm
Saturdays from 1:00-3:00pm
Not all students will be called to every rehearsal. Repeated unexpected/unexcused conflicts or absences may result in reassignment of materials or roles to other students in the cast.
There may be additional rehearsals leading up to the performance dates.

Performances:
Thursday, April 24th & Friday, April 25th @ 7:00pm
Saturday, April 26th & Sunday, April 27th @ 3:00pm
