Zion Sunday Morning Greeter Sign Up- November 2023

Thank you for being willing to serve as a Sunday Morning Greeter! It may seem simple; but helping people feel welcomed at Zion is very important!
A few notes:

- Please arrive 20 minutes before the service starts and stay by the doors until the first song is over. There are always a few late-comers, we want to welcome them too!

- As people approach, open the door for them and welcome them with a greeting and a smile. Note that some people might not feel comfortable with handshaking. We are finding people really appreciate someone opening the door for them, especially people with mobility difficulties and parents with full hands!

- Keep an eye out for guests and first-time visitors- a friendly first-impression can make a big difference!

- Be bold and introduce yourself to someone you don't know. Try, "I don't think I've had the chance to meet you yet" instead of "Are you new here?"

- You can greet on your own, with a friend or spouse or as a family! This is a great way for kids to serve as well! Please contact Kerri Schmid with questions: kschmid@zionbelleville.org
