Disney's Newsies @ BAC Auditions!
The Beverly Arts Center Presents:
Newsies
The Beverly Arts Center announces auditions for its professional, non-equity production of Newsies, directed by Melody DeRogatis. Auditions will be held from 6:30-9:30 pm, in-person, on December 16 and 17. Invitation-only Callbacks will be held on December 20 from 1:00-5:00pm.
Audition slots are 1-hour long, and actors will be asked to sing a 32-bar musical cut in-style of Newsies, participate in a dance call, and potentially cold-read sides from the script.
All actors must be local and able to commute to the southwest side of Chicago for rehearsals and performances. All actors will receive a small stipend for this production. Stipend amounts may differ based on the time commitment of each role.
The Beverly Arts Center welcomes and encourages performers of all genders, ethnicities, and identities. Character breakdowns are based on the age of the characters as written in the script.
Newsies by Alan Menken, Jack Feldman, and Harvey Fierstein
