IndepenDANCE 2025-2026 SENIOR Auditions

Age qualifications for SR team: You must be in High School OR if you're a current JR dancer, you MUST have participated on the JR team for a minimum of TWO years to be allowed to audition for the SR team.

IndepenDANCE is a performance dance team that performs tap, jazz, lyrical & hip hop. Though it's not required, it is recommended when auditioning that dancers have experience in all these genres. You will need tap shoes and jazz shoes for your audition. You will need to come dressed in appropriate audition clothes: leotard, shorts or leggings and hair pulled back off of your face. You must attend BOTH audition days if you wish to be considered for the 2024-2025 team.

IndepenDANCE participates in the Summer's Last Blast Event: Friday, August 15th, Back to Dance Event: Sunday, September 28th 1pm-4pm, Halloween Show: October 3rd-5th, 2025, Christmas Dance Revue: December 12th-14th, 2025 and annual Spring Dance Recital: Spring, 2026. We have Big/Little sister bonding events such as an overnight lock-in at the Oak View Center. In the past we have travelled to Orlando, FL and performed at Universal Studios and also in Gatlinburg, TN. This June 2025 the 24-25 team will be travelling to California. The 2025-2026 season team will be participating in the Illinois State Fair in August, 2025.

Senior team practices on Thursdays 5pm-7pm and on Saturdays when they are called between 12pm-4pm depending what we are currently working on. Dancers will get a schedule in advance to plan accordingly so you know when your dancer is called. Don't worry, dancers will get some Saturdays off!
