Dancers must be 9 years of age by December 31, 2024 to be eligible to audition.

IndepenDANCE is a performance dance team that performs tap, jazz, lyrical & hip hop. Though it's not required, it is recommended when auditioning that dancers have experience in all these genres. You will need tap shoes and jazz shoes for your audition. You will need to come dressed in appropriate audition clothes: leotard, shorts or leggings and hair pulled back off of your face. You must attend BOTH audition days if you wish to be considered for the 2024-2025 team.

IndepenDANCE presents a Halloween Show: October 4th-6th, 2024 and Christmas Dance Revue: December 13th-15th, 2024 and annual Spring Dance Recital: April, 2025. We have Big/Little sister bonding events such as an overnight lock-in at the Oak View Center. We have travelled to Orlando, FL and performed at Universal Studios, Gatlinburg, TN and visited Dollywood and most recently the Illinois State Fair. Can't see what's next on the horizon!

Senior team practices on Thursdays 5pm-7pm and on Saturdays when they are called between 12pm-4pm depending what we are currently working on. Dancers will get a schedule in advance to plan accordingly so you know when your dancer is called. Don't worry, dancers will get some Saturdays off!
