BART Warm Springs Extension Project – Field Trip

On Saturday August 23rd, we will tour BART’s Warm Springs Extension Project. The tour will begin at 10:00am with an introductory presentation and safety briefing at the project office – 47212 Mission Falls Ct. Fremont, CA. The tour will include a site visit to the Warm Springs Station project followed by a drive (via personal cars/carpools) and tour of the tunneled portion of the extension under Lake Elizabeth. The presentation and two tour stops will last about 2 hours. EERI would like to invite attendees to stick around and enjoy a lunch at Central Park on Lake Elizabeth at noon when the tour is scheduled to be completed. Central Park is a 15 minute walk to the Fremont BART Station.

Field trip space is limited, and chapter members have priority. Spots remaining on August 17th will be assigned to non-members on the waiting list on a first come first serve basis.

If you can help by providing an initial ride from Fremont BART to the project site at 9:30 and a ride between project sites for colleagues traveling on BART.

Special Instructions: Everyone will need to have the following personal protective equipment: fully covered pants and shoes, hard hat, and safety vest. The project office has extra hard hats and vests but bring your own if you can.
