Zion Sunday Morning Greeter Sign Up- September 2023

Thank you for being willing to serve as a Sunday Morning Greeter! It may seem simple; but helping people feel welcomed at Zion is very important!
A few notes:
- Please arrive 20 minutes before the service starts and stay by the doors until the first song is over.
- As people approach, open the door for them and welcome them with a greeting and a smile. We are finding people really appreciate someone opening the door for them, especially parents with full hands! Note that some people might not feel comfortable with handshaking. Opening the door for people also eliminates some of the awkwardness for those who don't want to shake hands.
- Keep an eye out for guests and first-time visitors- a friendly first-impression can make a big difference!
- Be bold and introduce yourself to someone you don't know. Try, "I don't think I've had the chance to meet you yet" instead of "Are you new here?"
- You can greet on your own, with a friend or spouse or as a family! This is a great way for kids to serve as well!
