Summer 2015 Orientation Ice Cream Socials

Hosted by contempacappella@gmail.com

Thank you for volunteering your time to recruit new members of Contemporary A Cappella! Below you'll find a sign up sheet with several dates and times for volunteering. Sign up for as many shifts as you can cover, though you will not be working all of them.

Two people will be selected to volunteer at the Ice Cream Socials in the Pegasus Ballroom from 7:30 - 8:45 pm each night. Please arrive by 7:00 to secure a good spot in line/table in the ballroom. You will be given a PowerPoint slideshow to display, along with a display board, some t-shirts and albums, and a mailing list for people to sign up on. Additionally, students may also sign up for audition slots now on our sign up sheet linked below, if they please. Please take care of these materials as every group has been gracious enough to donate them to CAC for the summer. When you are done, you must return them as soon as possible to Max or Harrison. We kindly ask that you do not plug individual groups unless you are going to plug all of them equally. We're recruiting members for CAC, not your specific group! Things to talk about with students and parents:

Fall Rush Week (second week of Fall semester, will kick off with a huge a cappella 101 seminar day where students get to meet all the groups and learn about a cappella basics and how to pick an audition song/prepare for auditions, followed by five days of auditions and two days of callbacks)

What We Do During the Year (Concerts/Showcases, Prom, Fall Picnic, SoJam, ICCA, recording singles & albums, traveling and touring, etc.)

Your Personal Experiences in CAC (Positive aspects and experiences being in an a cappella group/general member, be sentimental)

-----------------------

Please bring one or two laptops with you for the slide show/mailing list! If you have any questions, feel free to contact Max, Harrison, Kirsten, or Nick! Thank you so much!
