The consular section is providing limited passport, notarial services and accepting voting ballots at the Movenpick Resort and Residence Aqaba City Side on Thursday, September 19, 2024. If you need such service, kindly sign up here.

Please come to your appointment prepared. Be sure to bring the ORIGINAL and a PHOTOCOPY of all supporting documentation to avoid any delays. ALL FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.

- Please note: All persons applying for a passport, and the parents or guardians of children under the age of 16, must attend the appointment in person.

- You must bring to your appointment:

- Passport Application, completed online and printed with a barcode in the upper left corner. Handwritten applications or applications without a barcode on the printed copy will not be accepted. - 2 x 2-inch photo of applicant taken within the last 6 months, not wearing glasses.

- Previously issued U.S. passport, SIGNED, with a copy (or a DS-64 explaining the loss or theft of the passport).

- If the previously issued U.S. passport has expired, or has been lost or stolen, bring a currently valid secondary government-issued photo ID (passport, national ID, driver’s license, or similar) with a signature on it.

- Non-refundable application fee. We STRONGLY encourage you to pay online ahead of time to avoid inconvenience and reduce your wait time during this appointment. If paying in cash, exact fees only. The fee for a passport is:

----- DS-82 (adult renewing a passport book): $130 USD / 93 JD.

----- DS-11 (first-time adult applicant age 16 or over: $165 USD / 118 JD.

----- DS-11 (minor applicant under age 16): $135 USD / 97 JD.

----- DS-5504 to replace emergency passport: no fee.

----- If you will also request a passport CARD in addition to the passport, please add:

-----Minor under age 16: $15 USD / 11 JD

-----Adult over age 16: $30 USD / 22 JD

Applicants under the age of 16 must also bring:

- The child’s original birth certificate, with a copy. A hospital-issued certificate is not accepted.

- The parent or guardian’s currently valid signed government-issued photo ID with a signature on it, with a copy.

- If one or both parents/guardians are absent, but consent to the passport issuance:

----- An original, signed DS-3053 form consenting to issuance of the passport for each absent parent/guardian which authorizes the person who brings the child to the passport appointment to sign the application. This form must be signed and notarized and is only valid for 90 days following signing.

----- A signed copy of the ID used as proof of identity when each DS-3053 was signed and notarized.

- If one parent/guardian has passed away, please bring the original death certificate or Consular Report of Death Abroad and a copy.

Notarial services:

Accepting Voting Ballots:
U.S. election ballots can be sent to the U.S. by the Consular Section on your behalf.  Please drop off your unsealed ballot, addressed to your local election office. For more information visit www.fvap.gov.
