ASCK Week Job Shadowing

Several alumni have volunteered to host students at their place of business for a half or full day of job shadowing. Unless stated below, the date and time for these will be arranged mutually between the student and alum - it does not necessarily have to take place during the week of February 17-21.

You may only sign up for one job shadowing opportunity. Please only sign up for an opportunity that closely aligns with your interests.

The hosts for job shadowing are:

* Jamie Fisher '06, Attorney, Grund & Leavitt (Small Firm, Family Law).
* David Barhydt '86, Principal, Law Offices of David Barhydt (Sole Practitioner, Landlord/Tenant Law)
* Jason Sposeep '03, Partner, Schiller DuCanto & Fleck *Mid-Size Firm, Family Law/Dispute Resolution/Collaborative Law)
* Steven Glink '81, Law Offices of Steven Glink (Sole Practitioner, Education/Criminal/DCFS/Juvenile). Open to 2 students, who can choose between the following: 2/17 - deposition in Rosemont at 9:30 a.m. for an ethnic discrimination case; 2/18 - juvenile court hearing in Kendall County; 2/20 - federal court status hearing in a special ed case at 9:00 a.m.; or 2/21 - oral argument at the Daley Center in a wrongful termination case at 10:30 a.m. Please email Katie Aune (kaune@kentlaw.iit.edu) with your top 2 choices if you sign up for this.

* William Marutzky '77, Attorney, Hughes Socol Piers Resnick (Mid-Size, Taxation/Estates & Trusts/Asset Protection)
* Judge Patrick Lustig '82, Judge, Circuit Court of Cook County. Student will have opportunity to observe pre-trial conferences.
* Judge Robert Bertucci '83, Judge, Circuit Court of Cook County.
* Kavita Athanikar '01, Assistant City Prosecutor, City of Naperville. Student can accompany her to court 2/17 a.m., all day 2/18 or 2/20 a.m.
* Ali Ammoura '12, Assistant Public Defender, Office of the Cook County Public Defender (Criminal/Child Abuse & Neglect)
* Julia Byerson '09, Senior Consultant, Navigant Consulting. Up to 4 students can spend the morning (10 a.m. to 1 p.m.) at Navigant on March 11, learning about legal consulting and then joining Julia and other staff for lunch.
