YTC: Anastasia Auditions!

BAC's Youth Theatre Company presents Anastasia (Youth Edition)!
For students ages 13-19

Her past is a mystery. Her future is an adventure.
Anastasia: The Musical is the spectacular new musical about discovering who you are and defining who you’re meant to be. This 60-minute adaptation of the Broadway hit is specially tailored for young actors.

This production, directed by Kara Ryan, will rehearse on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 6:00-8:00pm beginning Monday, March 3rd.

Students must register for the production before auditioning (or on the day of their audition). All students who register will be cast in the show.

Audition Dates (Students should sign up for 1 audition slot, attend 1 audition date, and the dance call/callback day. If students have a conflict with the audition or callback dates, they can email kara@beverlyartcenter.org to make alternative arrangements):

Monday, February 24th from 6:00-8:00pm
Wednesday, February 26th from 6:00-8:00pm

Callback Date (All students should attend dressed to move):
Thursday, February 27th
6:00-7:00pm, Dance Call
7:00-8:00pm, Callbacks

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS
Students can choose to either sing a song from the show (listed below), or a musical theatre song up to one minute in length. If students are singing a song not from the musical, they should bring a speaker and backing track or prepare to sing a capella. Students who sing from the excerpts below will be provided with a backing track.
Students who sing a song from a different show should still familiarize themselves with the song excerpts as they may be called back to sing additional material.

NOTE: All actors should register for the production prior to auditioning. Registration will remain open through the date of the first rehearsal. Registration can be completed at beverlyartscenter.com, via the School of Fine Arts catalog on the BAC’s website, at the Front Desk in person or over the phone at 773.445.3838. Tuition is $400 per student and includes two tickets to a performance of their choosing.

Rehearsals (Beginning Monday, March 3rd):
Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 6:00-8:00pm
Additional rehearsals during Tech Week, leading up to the performance dates.
Not all students will be called to every rehearsal. Actors will be asked to complete a conflict form, and the production team will do their best to accommodate conflicts. All actors will be asked to attend the entirety of Tech Week unless there is a major conflict (ie end of year school event, recital, performance, etc).
Repeated unexpected/unexcused conflicts or absences may result in reassignment of materials or roles to other students in the cast.

Performances:
Thursday, May 15th & Friday, May 16th @ 7:00pm
Saturday, May 17th & Sunday, May 18th @ 3:00pm
