Harvest Week: Apple Pie and Salsa Kits 2022

This year, for UCSC's annual Harvest Week, the Cowell Coffee Shop will be offering an Apple Pie and Salsa Meal Kit!

Each Meal Kit will include pie dough, apples, sugar, flour, tomatoes, onions, jalapenos, cilantro, and lime. There will also be a vegan kit offered which has coconut oil as a butter substitute.

The distribution will be on Friday, September 23rd from 1-5pm UPSTAIRS in the kitchen above the Cowell Coffee Shop. The CCS is undergoing unexpected renovations and will be closed until mid October (plans are in the works to mobilize our mobile food hub to the Cowell Circle starting next week!)

On Sunday, September 25th, there will be both a pie and salsa contest at the Harvest Festival at the UCSC farm. You are encouraged to enter but do not need to in order to sign up for a kit! Details can be found here: https://agroecology.ucsc.edu/news-events/events/harvest-fest.html
