Polar Camp Sign-up: January 18-19, 2020

Stearns Scout Camp

We will be there from 11AM Saturday, January 18 until Sunday, January 19 and checkout by noon. Feel free to come the whole time, or make it a day trip. Please RSVP either way so we can get a head count for food and activities. Please bring plenty of warm clothes for hiking and sledding, as well as sleeping bags and pillows. We will be staying in a heated lodge with bunks and commercial kitchen, and all meals will be provided.

The original 930 acres of camp was purchased from the estate of George C. Crosby in 1966; originally being named Camp Heritage, and officially opened in 1968. Crosby Lodge, now the Campmaster building, was donated to the camp by the Crosby family. The Camp has since grown to 1,200 acres, and in 1985 The Viking Council changed the name to Camp Stearns.
