WDC Scent Work Skill Building (Saturday March 15, 2025 10-1)

Location: Winnegamie Dog Club

March 15, 2025 (Saturday) 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

PLEASE NOTE:
*****You and your dog MUST have attended a scent work class or have comparable training (preapproved-contact us) AND your dog MUST be able to source ODOR.
*****This is not a training session but rather an opportunity for you to work your dog in a new environment.

SKILLS ACHIEVEMENT CHALLENGE:

MULTIPLE HIDES: Can your dog move from one hide to another w/o multiple communications from you?
WORKING LOW HIDES: Can your dog identify the location of a hide at ground level w/o assistance or alerting on near by objects?
ELEVATED CONTAINERS: Does your dog know how to work odor in containers located off the floor?
"ONE PASS" SEARCH: Can your dog find the hides in order w/o passing a hide?

Great training exercises, for any nosework/scent work venue.
If you are a NACSW member, these searches will help you & your dog prepare for the Skills Achievement Challenges.
