Longhorn Singers - Auditions Fall 2019

Welcome to the Longhorn Singers Fall 2019 Audition Sign-Up Page!

Auditions are 6 minutes during the following time in the Butler School of Music:
Monday, August 26th from 4-8pm.
Tuesday, August 27th from 4-8pm

Room number:
August 26th, MRH 2.116c (office) from 4:00-5:00pm and MRH 2.106 (Choir room) from 5:00-8:00pm. **Note room switch**
August 27th, MRH 2.106 (Choir room) from 4:00-8:00pm.

If the available times do not work for you, please notify us and we will do our best to accommodate. Auditions run until 8 pm, but we can extend later if needed.

Auditions will consist of 4 sections:
1. A 1:30 excerpt of a song (traditionally jazz standard or musical theatre) that shows off your vocal range (will be acapella, must be memorized)
2. A sight reading section
3. The Star Spangled Banner starting from "And the rockets' red glare"
4. Pitch memorization

Callbacks will take place on the evening of August 28th from 5:30-9:00 PM, also in the Butler School of Music room MRH 2.114 (Band Hall). Callbacks will have a group singing portion and a dancing portion. You will be notified if you got a callback by email.
