Food Forward (3/11)

Food Forward is an organization that rescues fresh local produce that would go to waste by giving this surplus to people in need and inspiring people to do the same. This is done by collecting fresh fruits and vegetables that would normally go to waste from backyard fruit trees, public orchards, farmers markets, and the downtown Los Angeles Whole Produce Market.These fruits and vegetables are then donated to a hunger relief agency across 8 countries in Southern California.
AGS will be helping out this organization by attending the Hollywood Farmers Market Recovery Gleaning Opportunity at Sunday March 11th. Volunteers will be joining with the Glean Team to collect boxes of fresh produce from local farmers to donate to a diverse array of direct-service agencies. Volunteers under the age of 16 need to be accompanied by a guardian who must also register for the event and volunteers under 12 cannot be accommodated , thus cannot attend. Space is limited by the organization. However, even if space is full, sign up on the the waiting list in case anyone drops from the event. Please sign-up on their official site and on this sheet as well so that the the organization can officially add you to the event if someone does drop and so we can know you're coming respectively.
