SDTC OCTOBER/NOVEMBER 2023 Agility Class Signup

Classes this session will be for 5 weeks. Classes begin the week of October 1 and run through the week of October 30th.

Class Fee: Members $25, Non-members $100 due at the first class. Checks made payable to SDTC or correct amount. No change available.

Spots are limited. If you know you will not make the majority of the classes, sign up as an alternate for a class.
If you missed 3 or more classes this last session (that is over half the classes excused or unexcused), wait to sign up a dog until May 30h or sign up as an alternate.

1st Dog Signup for members and current students: September 18 at 7 am
2nd Dog Signup: September 21
3rd Dog or if signing up a dog for a second session: September 25
Sign-up for classes closes September 27

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS:

• AG2 for those students completing Foundations and AG1. C, working toward full height contacts and closing of channel weaves/eliminating use of wires

• AG3 for those students completing Ag1 and Ag2, working toward full height contacts and closing of channel weaves/eliminating use of wires

• PRENOVICE/NOVICE for those dogs who have completed Foundations, Ag1,2,3 or with director and instructor approval. Will be working full height contact equipment with concentration on end contact performance, straight weave poles with limited use of wires, dogs have a pretty good start line stay and connection with their dog. Will be working short sequences to work on handling and timing of cues.

• NOVICE/OPEN: For dogs working on full height contact equipment and working on straight weave poles with limited use of wires. Includes Novice/Open handling challenges, with some advanced handling introduced.

• COMPETITION: For dogs working equipment independently at advanced level of training. Will be doing sequences with a focus on advanced training skills.
