2019 Thomas Tang Moot Court Competition - Volunteer Judges

Dear Members of the Bench and Bar:

As you may be aware, the National Thomas Tang Moot Court Competition (Competition) is being held in conjunction with the annual NAPABA Convention on November 7-10, 2019 in Austin, TX. Please volunteer to serve as an oral argument judge for the National Thomas Tang Moot Court Competition (Competition).

There will be two preliminary rounds and a quarterfinal round on Friday, November 8, 2019:

-Preliminary Round 1: 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
-Preliminary Round 2: 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
-Quarterfinal Round: 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The preliminary and quarterfinal rounds will be held at the JW Marriott Austin located at 110 E 2nd St, Austin TX 78701. We will provide you information on where to report prior to your scheduled round.

You may sign up to serve as a judge for one or both of the preliminary rounds and/or the quarterfinal round. There will be seven (7) rooms and three (3) judges are needed for each room for both of the preliminary rounds. There will be four (4) rooms and four (4) judges are needed for each room for the quarterfinal round. We also need volunteers to serve as alternates in case of last minute cancellations.

Once you sign up, you will receive an email with the oral argument judging packet, which will include the rules, problem, bench brief, and oral argument scoring sheets.

If you need to modify or cancel your commitment before Friday, November 1, 2019, please do so via the wejoinin.com link you used to sign up to serve as a volunteer judge.
