SPARC Day Volunteers 2021!

This year Rollins celebrates our 16th anniversary of SPARC Day (Service, Passion, Action, Rollins College), which will be held on Saturday, August 21st. Embedded in the mission of Rollins College (to educate for global citizenship and responsible leadership), SPARC was created in 2006 to introduce our newest Rollins students to the Central Florida community in a day of learning, community service, and activism.

Below are the time slots when volunteers are needed. The greatest need is for set-up and clean-up. All volunteers should report to the main entrance (Mills Lawn side) of Kathleen W. Rollins Hall at the beginning of their shift.

6:30 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. - Set-up Team: set-up on campus service projects, create signage, direct RCC classes to their respective projects, etc.

8:00a.m. - 11:15a.m. – Support one of the on-campus service projects i.e. building meal kits, packaging school supplies, etc. Volunteers will be assigned a service station and support students as their RCC class rotates through the station.

11:00a.m. - 3:00p.m. – Support one of the on-campus service projects i.e. building meal kits, packaging school supplies, etc. Volunteers will be assigned a service station and support students as their RCC class rotates through the station.

2:00pm-3:30pm: Clean up after projects are completed.
