ConneKtions @ Dinner Week: Fall 2016

You may only sign up for ONE dinner. Do not select a date/time that conflicts with your class schedule. Also, we ask that you please do not contact alumni directly to add more spaces. Additional dinners may be added after the initial schedule is released, so please check back. You may need to scroll across at the bottom to see all of the dinners.

If you are signing up for a dinner at someone's home, please email Joe Volin at jvolin@kentlaw.iit.edu with any dietary restrictions.

IF YOU NEED TO CANCEL, please email Joe Volin at jvolin@kentlaw.iit.edu so he can contact the next individual on the waiting list. DO NOT remove yourself from the list. Cancellations are not permitted within 24 hours of a dinner unless in case of an emergency.

Additionally, please pay attention to the date of the dinner as dinners span into 3 weeks.

* Monday, October 17: Illinois State Bar Association past-president John Locallo '86 and retired Judge Bruno Tassone '69 will discuss marketing yourself for employment and clients. Dinner at Quartino (626 N. State St.) at 6:00 p.m. Open to 6 students.

*Monday, October 17: Rob Kohen '14 (associate, Salvi, Schostok, & Pritchard), Michael Glink '14 (associate, Fisher and Lamonica), Molly Condon '15 (associate, Hurley, McKenna, & Mertz), and Marty Gould '14 (associate, Romanucci and Blandin). Dinner at Sidebar Grille at 6:00 p.m. Open to 6 students. Students who sign up should have a strong interest in plaintiff's trial work and/or civil litigation.

*Tuesday, October 18: William Gibbs '04 (partner, Corboy & Demetrio). Dinner at Formento's (925 W. Randolph) at 6:30 p.m. Open to 4 students.

*Tuesday, October 18: Daniel Creed '75 (retired, regulatory and legislative affairs). Dinner at 6:00 p.m. at Daniel's home in Edgewater. Open to 2 students. Students who sign up should have an interest in public interest law.

*Tuesday, October 18: Dennis Kellogg '75 (personal injury) and Allison Castillo '08 (Office of the Cook County Public Guardian). Dinner at 6:15 p.m. at Artipolis. Open to 5 students.

*Tuesday, October 18: Jared Reynolds '15 (associate, Levin & Perconti, medical malpractice and personal injury) and Matthew McElwee '16 (corporate associate, Kirkland & Ellis, mergers & acquisitions and fund formation). Dinner at Beatrix-River North (519 N. Clark) at 8 p.m. Open to 4 students.

*Wednesday, October 19: Jesse Footlik '11 (senior associate, Peck Ritchey, LLC, estates and trust litigation/elder law), Heather Rosen '11 (associate, Beermann Pritikin Mirabelli Swerdlove LLP, family law), Jack A. Gould '11 (associate, Swanson, Martin & Bell, LLP, toxic tort litigation). Dinner at 6:30 p.m. at Heather's home in Greektown. Open to 4 students.

*Thursday, October 20: Chris Acuna ' (business law/startups), Jessica Coutré '14 (estates and trusts), Mykal Warne '14 (civil litigation), Mina Mineva '14 (hospitality and venture capital), and Mariana Karampelas '11 (civil litigation and corporate law). Dinner at Chris' home in Logan Square (close to Blue Line) at 7:30 p.m. Open to 8 students.

*Thursday, October 20: Scott Curran ' (Founder, Beyond Advisors and Special Counsel at Patzik, Frank & Samotny) and Amy Cobb Curran '01 (partner, Chapman & Cutler, LLP, public finance). Dinner at their home in Downers Grove (accessible from the Metra) at 6:00 p.m. Open to 10 first year students only.

*Friday, October 21: Kylin Fisher '13 (judicial law clerk, Chancery Division-Cook County) and Laurence Tooth '13 (associate, Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP, insurance and reinsurance). Dinner at their home in Old Town at 6:30 p.m. Open to 4 students.

*Tuesday, October 25: Christine Svenson (partner, Svenson Law Offices). Dinner at 5:30 p.m. at Christine's Office in River North. Open to 10 students. Students who sign up should have an interest in family law.

*Tuesday, October 25: Kristen Prinz '07 (founder and managing partner, The Prinz Law Firm, employment law). Dinner at Nellcote (833 W. Randolph) at 6:15 p.m.. Open to 7 students.

*Wednesday, October 26: John Pikarski '69 and Tom Pikarski '97 (both at Gordon & Pikarski, real estate/zoning law). Dinner at the Union League Club (65 W. Jackson) at 6 p.m. Open to 8 students. Students who sign up should have an interest in practicing real estate law. Business attire required.

*Friday, October 28: John Ourednik '14 (associate, Invention Mine, patent prosecution). Dinner at Madison Tavern (500 W. Madison) at 5:45 p.m. Students who sign up should be EVENING STUDENTS.

*Tuesday, November 1: Mary Nicolau '85 (partner, Fox Rothschild, real estate). Dinner at Tradition (160 N. Franklin) at 5:30 p.m. Open to 6 students.
