It all started with a vigil
Wejoinin began when Andrew and Hsiu-Fan were college students coordinating a 24-hour vigil for a community event. Realizing the pain of passing around dozens of printed paper signup sheets, we thought: "Shouldn't we be doing this all online?"
We cobbled together a prototype that weekend and collected the signups in a fraction the time it would have taken us to spread the word the old way. That event was a success, and that initial prototype eventually evolved into the Wejoinin you see today.
We started out word-of-mouth with our friends who were organizing club and community events of their own. Word got out to our professors, who found it easy to use and the perfect tool for scheduling their office hours.
Over time, we expanded to handle appointment slots for small businesses, registrations for conferences and volunteer coordination for nonprofits.
Today, folks from small community volunteer organizations to Fortune 500 companies use Wejoinin to manage event signups, office hours, and appointments.
