REHEARSALS
First week of rehearsals begin February 1st
All rehearsals following will be Sun/Mon/Wed/Thurs from 7pm-10pm
Tech week begins on April 5th (EASTER SUNDAY) - April 5th

WHAT TO PREPARE

SINGING
-16-32 bars of a song in the style of the golden era of Broadway 1940’s-1960’s, or in
that style. Think Rodgers and Hammerstein, early Sondheim, Kander and Ebb,
Bernstein, Irving Berlin, Cole Porter.
-DO NOT SING FROM THE SHOW. You MUST bring sheet music & have it clearly marked.
An accompanist will be available. Acapella & track music will NOT be accepted.

DANCING

-We will hold a Dance Workshop with two sessions on January 19th from
6:30pm-9:30pm. There will also be a video tutorial to reference (see below),
depending on your availability to attend the Workshop.
-You must learn the dance on your own or at the Workshop. Dances will not be
taught at auditions, only reviewed. Please bring water, dress in comfortable
movement clothes, and wear safe shoes (sneakers, dance shoes, no jeans, etc.). Break a leg!
-If you are ONLY going for Herr Schultz or Fraulein Schneider, you DO
NOT have to do the dance. If you are open to other roles, then you MUST learn the dance.
