PRE-BAZAAR Kurimanju Making (2025)

Help make SMBT famous Kurimanju!
No experience needed! Easy to learn and we are happy to teach.
What you will need to bring: apron, hair covering - mandatory (scarf, ball cap, hair net) and a willingness to learn!
SMBT will provide gloves (mandatory).
Please meet in our Temple Social Hall.
We ask that you sign-up for a time slot and ask that you arrive during this time - this to keep from too many hands at one time .. onegai.

ROLES:
-DOUGH MAKING: Friday, June 13 | from 11:00am (2-3 hours)

-SET-UP: Saturday, June 14 | 8:00am (limited volunteers needed)
-MAKING: Saturday, June 14 | from 9:00am (3 hour shifts till complete) - add kuri-an filling and shape into manju
-BAKING: Saturday, June 14 | 9:00am (3 hour shifts till complete) - brush with egg wash before baking, help pack for storage after baking
-CLEAN-up: Saturday, June 14 | from 12:00pm

NOTE: if you are only able to help for 1-2 hours, simply let us know - we are grateful for any time you are able to provide!

ALL ARE WELCOME! Come learn a long standing SMBT tradition. Ask your family & friends to sign-up, meet new Sangha friends!
We will ask that children under 12 years are under parental supervision.
