Noteworthy Auditions Spring 2024

Eureka, you've found the Noteworthy (Cal's lower-voices a cappella group) audition page! Now, Oski the Great asks (I mean, commands) you to sign up for an audition slot and prove your bravery...

We are currently looking for Basses, Baritones, Tenors, and Altos, as well as Vocal Percussion. Our auditions are 10-20 minutes long and consist of warmups, sight reading, tonal recall, and a solo! Come prepared with a 30-60 second solo (about 1 verse and 1 chorus of song) of any genre of your choosing. Don't be afraid if you don't have a lot of experience singing: many of our best members had only a little experience but grew to be amazing singers within our group!

Auditions will be held in the Cesar Chavez Basement and will NOT be on Berkeley Time: please be sure to show up on time! If there are no audition slots available that work for you, we are holding walk-ins auditions on Friday, January 26. If you are still unable to make those times, please contact us and we'll try to arrange a time that will work for you!

Finally, we will be having callbacks on Saturday, January 27th (11 am - 4 pm), so please make sure you can attend this time.

Cesar Chavez Basement (CCB) is located down the hill between Golden Bear Cafe and Sather Gate. After reaching Sather Gate from Lower Sproul, turn left and walk along the creek; you will find the stairs to the Basement on your left (there's often a Cal Band poster). Others may be auditioning before you, so feel free to wait in the sitting area while we finish up.
