Overnight Supervising Staff Volunteers The Volunteers primary tasks are to: 1) ensure safety 2) guest and site supervision 3) lights out at 10pm 4) ensure guests complete morning clean-up chores 5) prepare guests and files for transport back to portal site. Shift hours are 7PM to 7AM. SCROLL DOWN to sign up for OVERNIGHT SHIFTS All volunteers will need to pass a background screening and complete an orientation & CAP class. Hands of Hope will reimburse for the cost involved if needed. At least 2 supervision people needed per night shift. Please give at least 24 hours notice if you are unable to do your shift. If you sign up within 48 hours of your shift please contact Gloria or Ruth. Family Emergency Winter Shelter Program starts December 15, 2009 and ends April 15th, 2010, (depending on the weather). We currently need many more volunteers for the overnight shifts. Talk with your friends, neighbors and relatives to form overnight teams!!! Evening Intake Staff and Hospitality Hosts at Hands of Hope Time: 5:30PM to 7:30 PM Where: Hands of Hope, 909 Spiva Ave., Yuba City (Gray Ave = nearest cross street) Staffing: 2 Screeners and 2 Hospitality Staff (or more) The evening Hospitality Hosts help set up the area to make the guests comfortable as they wait during intake. They prepare coffee, talk with guests, etc. Each night one Hospitality Host provides supervision outside the center. SCROLL DOWN TO SIGN UP The Intake Staff perform a very basic behavioral assessment of guests at intake center. A bit of additional training is required for Intake Staff.
