MLK Day of Service

WE NEED YOU! Join us on Saturday, January 26, 2013 as we honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy through service projects at Grand Avenue Primary Learning Center. This Pre-K to 2nd grade school, located in the heart of downtown Orlando, is the oldest remaining elementary school in Orange County, having been established in 1926. It currently serves the Holden Heights community, which is comprised of low-to-moderate cost homes, subsidized apartments and a housing project.

Volunteers will be partnering alongside teachers to restore and landscape areas of the school campus in the hopes of answering one of "Life's most persistent and urgent questions...What are YOU doing for others?" -MLK

We will be meeting in front of the Cornell Fine Arts Museum at 8:15 am, and coming back to the Rollins campus around 12:00 pm. Transportation will be provided!
