Little Shop of Horrors ~ The Drama Group's opening musical for the 2016 ~ 2017 season

Little Shop of Horrors is a comedy horror rock musical, by composer Alan Menken and writer Howard Ashman about a down-and out skid row floral assistant who becomes an overnight sensation when he discovers an exotic plant with a mysterious craving. Menken's music is written in the style of early 1960s rock and roll, doo-wop and early Motown, and includes several well-known melodies, including the title song, “Skid Row (Downtown)”, “Somewhere That’s Green”, and “Suddenly, Seymour”.

Since the show is technically a tragedy (or a very dark comedy), the action is narrated by a Greek Chorus made up of doo-wop girls group.
