Audition for principal youth roles in Noye's Fludde

Thank you for sending in your audition form and the $20.00 audition fee which will be applied to your summer camp tuition when you register. Please DO NOT sign up below before sending in your form and fee.

Open auditions for principal youth roles (grades 6th-12th):
Feb. 2nd, 2013, 1-4 pm; Callbacks on Feb. 10, TBA, as needed

4. Please come prepared to sing sections from one or more of the above practice tracks of the opera (tracks 35-38). You may use the sheet music provided here, but will need to know the sections well. We will provide piano accompaniment and direction.

5. Please come prepared to move in comfortable clothes and appropriate shoes – a short theatrical movement and dance exercise will be taught during the audition process.

6. Those auditioning solely for the dancing roles of Raven and Dove will sing with the chorus, should sign up for the two later time slots and only need to prepare to sing track 34 Congregation.mp3.

Opera Camp Information

The production dates are July 13th and 14th 2013, with four performances, two in Livermore, and two in Pleasanton. These will be preceded by a two-week* (for chorus roles) to three-week (for principal roles) opera camp between 6/24/13 & 7/12/13. There will be exciting roles for choristers as young as 1st graders, and as mature as graduating seniors, for treble as well as changed voices.

Opera camp and rehearsals held at St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church, 678 Enos Way, Livermore.

Youth Principals’ Opera Camp - June 24-July 12th (open to 6th-12th grade students)
Cost: $450.00; Hours: TBD (rehearsals scheduled between 9:30am and 3pm)
No opera camp July 4th
Additional evening rehearsals July 10th, 11th & 12th

Children’s Opera Camp - July 1st – July 12th (open to 1st-12th grade students)
Cost: $350.00; Hours (tentative): 9:30am-12:30pm
No opera camp July 4th
Additional evening rehearsals July 10th, 11th & 12th
*All Children’s Opera Camp students will have chorus roles and do not need to audition in advance
