    NACADA Region 9 Conference 2014 Volunteer Sign Up


    We appreciate your willingness to volunteer at the NACADA Region 9 Conference 2014. Volunteer shifts and responsibilities are below. Thank you in advance for sharing your time and talents!

    To sign up, enter your name next to a volunteer shift (or shifts) below. If you have trouble entering your name next to the shift you prefer, that shift is full. If your schedule allows, please sign up for a different shift (or shifts).

    You can sign up for the following volunteer opportunities below:

    --- CONFERENCE MATERIAL PREP ---
    Volunteers are needed before the event (mid-March) to stuff attendee bags and prepare other pre-conference materials.

    --- KEYNOTE ASSISTANTS ---
    Volunteers are needed to greet speaker, assist with mic and podium set-up, get speaker seated at lunch, etc.

    --- SOCIALS ---
    Volunteers are needed to assist with set-up and take down, check-in attendees, give out raffle tickets, distribute prizes during raffle drawings, etc.

    --- WORKSHOP ROOM SUPPORT ---
    Volunteers are needed to make sure rooms are open, LCD projectors are ready to go, room set-up is orderly, and assist presenter with any other setup needs. This requires that you be familiar with AV equipment.

    --- DIRECTIONAL SUPPORT ---
    Volunteers are needed at various locations to help direct attendees to/from buildings. This requires that you be familiar with campus.

    --- LUNCH USHERS ---
    Help direct lunch attendees to the Chevron and Great Hall. This requires that you eat lunch in I-House and are registered for the conference.

    --- CAMPUS ENTRANCE VOLUNTEERS ---
    Volunteers will stand at key points on and near campus to direct conference participants to the International House for check-in. This requires that you be familiar with campus.

    --- SESSION ATTENDANTS ---
    To assist with Session Evaluations, please go to http://wejoinin.com/sheets/thmpn
    Session Attendants help the speaker with basic set-up and AV needs (or go get help) if needed, announce the name of the session, collect and submit evaluations to the Volunteer Check-in Table in I-House. Information about conference sessions can be found at http://www.nacada.ksu.edu/Events-Programs/Events/Region-Conferences/Region-9/Schedule.aspx
    Once you've decided some of the sessions you'll attend, go to http://wejoinin.com/sheets/thmpn to sign up for volunteer shifts! This requires that you attend the specific session(s) for which you you sign up to volunteer.

    --- REGISTRATION TABLE --- FULL!
    Volunteers are needed to help individuals check-in, as well as answer general questions about the event, and assist with directions. This table will be in the Hall of History at the International House.

    The NACADA Region 9 Conference Planning Committee thanks you for serving as a volunteer. All volunteers are welcomed. You must be registered for the conference to attend pre-conference events, conference sessions, meals, and socials unless you volunteer for a specific event. Then, you may attend.
