ONE MISSION | 21 Day Prayer Watch | WEEK 1 - Hurricane Harvey (SCROLL DOWN to sign up a 1 hour or more slot. More than 1 person can sign up at a time) An historic flood requires an historic response. And we are seeing you, the Church, respond in wonderful ways throughout our community. In our response, it is crucial that we address both the physical needs of our community and the spiritual dynamics of an event like this. Only the Church has the authority to pray and touch the lives of individuals and an entire city with spiritual power. This is why One Mission is mobilizing people to “man their posts” as intercessors for our city. As we seek the Lord in prayer, we can not only minimize the long-term impact of the flood, but we can see a Divine turn-around and fulfillment of God’s redemptive purposes through this event. Could it be that God has hidden a blessing of revival within the devastation? Joel 2:13-14 “Return to the Lord your God, for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love; and He relents over disaster. Who knows whether he will not turn and relent, and leave a blessing behind Him…? Here’s how we want to pray: • Pray for people to return to the Lord. (Joel 2:13-14) • Pray for repentance within the Church and among unbelievers. (Eph. 1:17-19) • Pray for the grace of God to fill and fuel the Church (Eph. 3:14-19) • Pray for unity in the Church (Rom. 15:5-6) • Pray for revival and salvations (2 Thess. 3:1-5) • Pray for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:17) • Pray for the city to receive a spirit of prayer (1 Tim. 2:8) • Pray for the healing of race relationships • Pray for relief and recovery efforts • Pray for the leaders of the city NOTE: You can VIDEO CONFERENCE with others praying in the same time slot as yourself here: VIDEO CONFERENCE LINK: https://zoom.us/j/2204817660 (copy/paste link in your browser) • FACEBOOK: http://www.facebook.com/onemissiontx • EMAIL: onemissionprayer@gmail.com ...
