Panel Discussion and Kick-Off Reception: “United for Care: Community Specialization and Provider Diversity in Primary Careâ€
Monday October 8th 5:30pm-7pm, Location Turner Auditorium (HSB D209)
This evening's panel is about the broad opportunities available to physicians trained in primary care specialties to focus on particular communities or issues in their careers. Issues of provider diversity will also be addressed:
~Dr. Alex Molnar is a trained general internist and works part time in the International Medicine Clinic at Harborview Medical Center and part time at Pioneer Square Homeless Clinic.
~Dr. Nancy Fisher is a trained pediatrician and public health administrator and the current Chief Medical Officer for Region X at the Center Medicare and Medicaid Services.
~Dr. Freddy Chen is Chief of Family Medicine at Harborview and a Senior Investigator in the University of Washington’s WWAMI Rural Health Research Center and the Center for Health Workforce Studies.
Dinner will be served during the panel with a wine Happy Hour to follow!
